The often photographed Saint-Clément fold occurs in the NW facing cliff on the other side of the road. This recumbent fold is actually part of a system of asymetric (S/Z folds) within the Helminthoids flysh nappe (upper cretaceous), indicating a transport direction to the West (right on the photo).
