This striated fault scarp belongs to the NW-SE-trending Padíl-Nigüelas late Neogene to present high-angle extensional front, dipping to the SW and separating the Sierra Nevada uplifted metamorphic core complex to the E and the Padúl Cenozoic basin to the E.
