This is a view of Chamanbid formation. Age of the strata is about the late Jurassic. Thickness of these layers is up to 30cm which classifies them to medium class. This formation formed in marine environment of Neo-Tethys ocean and the alternation between marl and limestone is due to Milankovitch cycles which causes changes in sea level.
