The Leptyno-amphibolitic Complex (local name) corresponds to bimodal plutonic rocks that may represent remnants of early Hercynian ophiolites within the Massif Central thrust stack in central France. Here, it shows several phases of partial melting, folding and granitic dyke intrusions in and around the locality depicted here (esp. in the disused road curve some 100m to the North).
