This is a historic site for structural geology where generations of scientits have wondered about apparently simple folds in low grade sandstone and slate, which are more complex than they should be. Here, folations are not simply axial planar; in some cases there seem to be two axial planar crenulations overprinting each other within thier parent fold closure. Williams 1971.
