Lower Permian leucogranite intruded by a Permian lamprophyre dyke at Aiguablava, Catalonia, Spain. The dyke partly follows and offsets a joint surface in the granite which must therefore have been present before its intrusion. Other, more irregular joints crosscut granite and dyke and impinge on the older joint. This outcrop has many excellent examples of this type of structure, although some were recently damaged by drilling.
