Shallow level semi-brittle deformation in the right bank of the Aviator Glacier; tips of the sigmoidal tension gashes are some km far from each other and steps of open crevasses some hundred metres high. The main ice flow generally moves towards the left of the image and the sinistral shear zone generates at a confluence of a lateral rapid ice flow (from the slope visible in the background) into the main flow of the Aviator Glacier, which moves relatvely slower.
